Tube bending specialist establishes efficient solutions for e-mobility
The growing market of the e-automotive industry is of great importance to tube bending specialist Schwarze-Robitec. The Cologne-based company is also establishing itself internationally as the tube bending partner for e-mobility. This year, Schwarze-Robitec will once again be represented with a stand at North America’s largest trade fair for the latest developments in battery production: The world-famous Battery Show for experts from the battery and automotive industry will take place in Detroit from October 7 to 10.
For tube bending expert Schwarze-Robitec, the Battery Show is one of the most important trade fairs of the year. ‘The American market and the international electric vehicle industry in particular play a key role for us, which is why we will be personally represented with a trade fair stand again this year,’ says Heike Ahlers, Head of Strategic Sales and Marketing. The machine manufacturer for tube bending solutions of all kinds has the expertise to bend particularly thin-walled, complex and asymmetrical tubes and busbars. These are in high demand in the lightweight construction of e-mobility.
Customized solutions for the growing electric vehicle market
Schwarze-Robitec’s participation in the Battery Show will allow the company to present the latest innovations and technologies in tube bending technology to the American market, as well as providing an ideal platform to showcase its own solutions to a wide audience of industry professionals. At the trade fair in Detroit, Schwarze-Robitec will focus in particular on the demanding bending of thin busbars. The Cologne-based company has established itself internationally as an expert in automated tube bending for the entire field of e-mobility and impresses with high-performance machines that are designed for the high cycle rates of the automotive industry. At the same time, the tubes are customized and bent according to individual specifications. Due to the complex geometries and special material properties, the bending process requires the highest possible precision and quality. A particular challenge is the processing of a wide variety of materials – both with and without insulation – with the material properties of the insulation itself playing a key role. The sensitive insulation layers must not be damaged during bending. As this area of application is still uncharted territory, it requires intensive development work and customized solutions. ‘Our many years of expertise enable us to offer an unrivalled overall package of progressiveness, quality and services ‘Made in Germany’. Our innovative tube bending solutions are crucial for the efficient production in the e-mobility industry and we are delighted to be able to present this at the Battery Show in Detroit,’ says Heike Ahlers.
