At this year’s Battery Show Europe Expo in Stuttgart, Germany, Schwarze-Robitec will once again be the tube bending partner for e-mobility. The machine manufacturer will be exhibiting its CNC E 25 Orbital tube bending machine, designed for bending busbars, at stand 6-D60. Around 19,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s renowned trade fair for battery, electric and hybrid vehicle technology in Stuttgart from 18 to 20 June.

The proportion of electric vehicles newly registered in Germany in 2023 rose to around 18% last year. The transition to electromobility is confronting car manufacturers with new challenges, which also have an impact on the entire supply chain. In addition to production speed and machine availability, precision is required when processing lightweight materials in e-car production. Tube bending for electromobility therefore focuses on particularly thin-walled tubes that need to be bent into increasingly complex and asymmetric shapes. In recent years, Schwarze-Robitec has seen a significant increase in requests for customized tube bending machines for the automotive industry. Bending is possible over both the flat and high sides of the busbars – at maximum speed and with the highest accuracy.
