Martin Laug, neuer Serviceleiter bei Schwarze-Robitec, setzt auf die Digitalisierung der Serviceabläufe

Increase system performance with new service concept

Fast commissioning and long-term operation – with its new service concept, Schwarze-Robitec offers its customers worldwide even better support over the entire service life of their tube bending machines. The new Head of Service, Martin Laug, will focus on process optimisation and digitalisation.

Tube bending machines are used in many industries and must be in constant use. Nobody can afford long downtimes. “Production downtime can only be avoided with a comprehensive service concept,” says Martin Laug, the new Head of Service at Schwarze-Robitec since January. “We therefore offer our customers comprehensive support in all service areas – from commissioning, regular maintenance and preventive maintenance to machine upgrades.” In addition to the reliable operation of the machines, the focus is also on increasing efficiency.

Comprehensive service across borders

Customers can rely on competent support when setting up the order installation of new machines, but Schwarze-Robitec’s experts are also available across national borders after commissioning. Whether it’s free initial support via the service hotline, optional remote fault analysis or worldwide repair work – the service team does everything it can to ensure the best possible service for the customer. In the future, work processes are to be further simplified, standardised and digitised, for example by integrating data directly into the company’s CRM system via external interfaces. The new Head of Service, who has been working for Schwarze-Robitec for many years in the areas of programming, digital optimisation and safety technology, is committed to this. In future, both staff from the US subsidiary and their Chinese colleagues will be involved in order planning to improve the level of service for customers in the USA, Africa and China. Advice on how to increase efficiency is also an important part of Schwarze-Robitec’s new service concept. “Whether it is upgrading the drive technology, converting the hydraulic axes to servo axes, replacing the encoder systems, upgrading to the intelligent NXG control system or updating the software – we offer numerous modernisation options to ensure a productive, sustainable life cycle,” emphasises Martin Laug.
